The EPA and Our Envirnoment

Growing restrictions placed upon industry in Northwest Indiana handed down by the federal government in the form of the Environmental protection agency have yet to yield tangible results and continues to allow countries like China and India to become the beneficiaries of not sharing the American commitment to emissions standards.  These countries are reaping the economic benefits while the United States places overly burdensome restrictions that aren’t meeting their desired objectives in the first place.  Respecting the federalist system and the states as laboratories for law and regulations should be the policy as far as environmental regulations go as well, as each state has its own challenges and solutions that are best decided by the state’s electorate rather than the federal government.
